Lane Parts Company launches a new web site

Lane Parts Company launched their new web site, www.laneparts.com on August 7, 2005. The web site, a greatly expanded engine marketing web domain was constructed using the Active Information Management technology (AIM Technology) developed by AlphaShop Network Services www.alphashop.com of Portland, Oregon.

Lane Parts Company, located in Eugene Oregon, operates a large state of the art engine machine shop. They serve the engine parts and engine rebuilding needs of customers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada and California.

The 12,000 square foot facility and staff of 12 technicians provides custom engine rebuilding, exchange forklift engines, custom and exchange component rebuilding and engine parts kits to their customers. The typical customer makes his living with his engines and has his own mechanical or maintenance department, but needs a professional machine shop to help with engine rebuilding. We need to get current information on availability and pricing to our regional customers, and AIM makes it possible.

This is not the first time that Lane Parts and AlphaShop have teamed up to produce a cutting edge web environment. In 1999 the two companies collaborated to produce www.enginecore.com, a web site that helps companies buy and sell engines and engine related parts. Enginecore is arguably the best site in the industry. It is a service that we use ourselves, almost every day.

"When we were ready to redesign our web site, working with AlphaShop was a given" stated Jeffries. "Their technology allows us to present products and services to our West Coast customers in a dynamic and highly effective format".

According to many, the machine shop and engine rebuilding industry is in a period of consolidation. TO maintain sales growth, companies must market more intensively, and to need to serve a greater geography. Companies are turning to the internet as one tool to help address that challenge.

The AIM Technology is a very sophisticated web management software that allows the end user to manage, edit and maintain their web site and especially it's content, without the intervention of specialized internet professionals or expensive in house talent. Editing content on the web site, like changing prices, adding new services or announcing changes can be accomplished in minutes and the revised web site can be launched immediately.

The AIM suite of administrative tools is based on much larger custom web projects that have been designed by AlphaShop Network Services. "We worked for years to perfect these AIM tools for large customers and major industry networks" stated Cheick Doucoure', President of AlphaShop. "We want to make these tools available to other companies who need to control their own content and want to market and sell using their web site as a primary tool. AIM has tremendous potential for aggressive, marketing oriented companies".
